Bio

I have lived and taught in many places in both the United States and Asia. Much of my writing for children reflects cultural geography themes as well as elements of land stewardship and animal care taking. These characteristics are typical of a Montessori educator’s view of the child and I attempt to inform my current work with my education background and experience of reading aloud to young children every day for over thirty years. My overarching goal, besides to make the world a better and friendlier place, is to bring my love of learning to my role as a teacher and author and to develop that lifelong passion in children.
